10 Best Headless Mode Drones In September 2022 | Budget Pick

By: Richard J. Gross
Updated On: January 19, 2022

As technology becomes increasingly advanced, our multitudes of gadgets increasingly become more intelligent.

Drones are no exception to this pattern and have been developed to include a variety of increasingly complex features that enable them to perform a multitude of tasks with ease.

One such feature is the headless mode, a mode that allows the user to fly their drone without worrying about which way the drone is facing, and through understanding, this helps you fly your drone better.

What is Headless Mode?

Headless mode allows beginner pilots to fly their drones with ease by removing the requirement that they have to point the drone in the direction they wish to travel before being able to move.

Instead, once headless mode has been activated, all that has to be done is press forward on the directional stick of your controller, and the drone will move accordingly.

By removing this step also removes one of the more common causes of accidents - losing orientation of your craft - which makes learning how to use headless mode a worthwhile endeavor.

While it might seem like quite a simple addition at first glance, there are many reasons why headless mode is incredibly useful.

FPV racing, for example, often requires fast and precise angle changes and so may benefit from using headless mode in order to do this without the added complication of directing your craft first.

This makes it a very important feature for drone racers who demand both absolute precision and maximum speed while also allowing pilots to maintain their orientation at the same time.

Similarly, other acrobatic drones such as quadcopters could benefit from having headless mode available to them since they do not necessarily need to always be pointing in a specific direction when performing flips or high-speed maneuvers through small spaces.

Even if you're just flying around indoors, having head headlessness mode well well your skill is isis is highly beneficial, and companies continue to include this feature in their drones over many many others.

Things To Consider While Buying The Best Headless Mode Drones

There are many factors that you should take into consideration when buying a drone, including flight time, build quality, camera specs, etc.

And with the introduction of headless mode now becoming standard on most drones, it makes it one less thing to worry about, which means your focus is more readily shifted onto choosing the right drone for your exact needs.

So what are some of the things that you should be looking out for in headless mode drones?

Flight Range

As ever, flight range is an important factor to consider when selecting a new drone, and this has not changed just because of the addition of headless mode.

You need to have enough Range that you can comfortably fly without worrying about losing signal or being unable to fly back safely if necessary. Generally speaking, with most drones, you should be able to fly at least 100 meters away with no problems.

Flight Time

While generally speaking, the longer, the better when it comes to flight time for your drone, this isn't always true;

Especially considering that most drones now allow their batteries to be swapped out, which is incredibly useful if you're planning on doing any extensive filming or photography since if your battery runs flat mid-flight, then it can severely limit what you are able to do until it recharges.

However, most drones of this caliber come with batteries that can last anywhere between 8-20 minutes on a single charge which isn't terrible considering the amount of technology crammed into such small spaces.

Camera Quality

The camera is one of the biggest factors when it comes to drone flying, and the better the camera, then generally speaking, the higher the price.

That being said, there are some brands that offer exceptional value for money and just as good if not better than more expensive alternatives, but you need to do your research on what each drone has to offer before making a final decision on which ones would be best for your needs.

While generally speaking, the faster a drone can go then the more expensive it will be, and this is always an important thing to consider when buying a new drone.

While they might not always look like they're moving at lightning speed, drones these days can reach speeds of up to 60mph which is incredibly impressive and means that racing or doing acrobatics with them has become much easier than ever before.

Where you choose to fly your drone can make a big difference to its size, and this is especially true if you're looking to fly your drone indoors.

Smaller models like the palm-sized quadcopters come equipped with propeller guards and light frames which makes them much safer and easier to control in such close quarters, but that comes at the expense of flight time and the Range since their batteries will only last around 5 minutes before they need recharging.

  • Video resolution is not best in class

Our Review of Autel Evo

Autel Evo is a power-packed drone that comes with several key features that makes it the ideal choice for every beginner. It has unique and powerful technologies that you normally don't get in drones at this price range, which is also one of the reasons why it is so popular among drone enthusiasts nowadays.

drones with Headless mode

The design of Autel Evo resembles a military-style because of its white color and its long, slender body. It also features a small camera that is attached to the front part of the body.

Being able to fly this drone indoors poses no problem because it is lightweight enough to be carried around by one person but sturdy enough for outdoor flights too.

Autel Evo comes with several unique technologies that let you do more with your drone and have a lot of fun while doing it.

The PalmLaunch technology, for example, helps the drone take off from your hand instead of using a conventional landing gear or a launching pad. It also comes equipped with an AutoReturn feature that brings the drone back to where it started from when you press a button.

You also get a Follow Me mode that lets you control the drone, so it follows behind. These technologies are only available in high-end drones, which makes Autel Evo an ideal choice for beginners who are looking to have fun with their new toy without spending too much money.

Flight time

Autel Evo comes with one of the longest flight times in the industry, which is around 30 minutes. That's a whole lot of time you can spend on the skies without having to worry about your battery going out on you.

It also comes equipped with four charging ports that let you charge each one of its batteries separately. Flight time of 30 minutes is enough for any exploration you plan on doing with your drone, which makes Autel Evo ideal for beginners who want to spend some time flying their new toy.

It's important to consider flight range when you're looking to buy a drone because it can make or break the fun you get out of owning one.

Thankfully, Autel Evo has enough of a range to keep you entertained and having fun without worrying about the drone getting out of your control.

Autel Evo has a flight range of 7 km, which is nothing short of impressive. With a flight range that long, you get to explore the world around you while having fun with Autel Evo.

Camera resolution

Autel Evo doesn't come with a high-resolution camera, but it has a good enough camera resolution of 4K that lets you record your flight and keep memories of new places you explored.

You can also take photos while flying with Autel Evo, which makes the whole experience very fun and worthwhile, especially if you're a beginner drone enthusiast.

Autel Evo comes with a high-quality camera that records at 4K resolution and can take 1080p videos too. The drone also has two other cameras included in the design, one of which is located on the front part of it while the other one is located behind.

These cameras are perfect for recording videos because they offer an impressive 180-degree view which makes Autel Evo ideal for capturing landscapes to share with friends.

Speed is another important thing to consider when you're deciding on a drone because it determines how quickly the drone can react to commands. It also affects the fun factor of flying your drone, so it's always better to have one that flies at high speeds.

Autel Evo comes with the fastest top speed in its class which is around 44.7 mph, while most other drones in this price range offer speeds between 20 and 30 mph only.

With Autel Evo, you get to explore the world around you more quickly without having to deal with lengthy flights or low battery life that makes you land your drone prematurely.

All of the high-end features that Autel Evo comes with are impressive, but one thing you might not expect from this drone is how light it actually is.

The lightweight design makes it very portable and easy to carry around, which means you could take your drone anywhere without worrying about it being too heavy for you to carry.

Autel Evo weighs only 2.6 lbs which makes it one of the lightest drones in its class. You can carry it around everywhere without wanting to take a break every few minutes you're using it.

Battery size

Autel Evo comes equipped with a 4300mAh battery that lets you enjoy your flights. One charge will be enough for up to 30 minutes of flying time, which means you get to explore new areas without having to stop and recharge your battery mid-flight.

It's important to note that when you're buying a drone, don't forget to consider battery size because it can make or break your experience. Autel Evo is ideal for beginners who want to enjoy their flights without worrying about the battery running out on them.

  • Parrot Anafi is a professional-grade selfie drone.
  • It has a fantastic 4km range.
  • Average camera quality

Our Review of Parrot Anafi

Parrot Anafi is one of the best commercial drones in the market. It is not cheap, but it is worth the money. With the price, you are getting a drone with some of the latest features like 4K video recording and 25 minutes of flight time on one charge.

drones with Headless mode

It also has an impressive range of 4km with its dedicated controller. Its design makes it look sleek and stylish, which can be attributed to its award-winning designer.

The camera mounted on top offers the same viewing experience as flying first person. Because of that, flying Parrot Anafi feels just like playing any mobile game, only that this time, you are controlling your point of view using your hands through your controller's joysticks.

It doesn't have an obstacle avoidance system, so always remember to use its headless mode, which will make the drone go back to you when it gets lost or runs out of batteries.

Flight time

The battery size for this drone is also slightly below average, but it makes up for this with its 25 minutes of flight time.

This makes it perfect for taking long selfie shots without having to land your drone every now and then. It doesn't have an obstacle avoidance system, so always remember to use its headless mode, which will make the drone go back to you when it gets lost or runs out of batteries.

Flight range

While many other drones in this price range have a maximum range of at least 300 meters, the Parrot Anafi has a much more impressive 4km range.

This will make it easier to fly your drone when taking selfies from far away, and you won't even need to worry about losing connection with your drone since its controller has a fantastic wireless signal which can reach up to 4km, much higher than most commercial quadcopters.

Camera quality

In terms of camera quality, this is one area where Parrot drones really pulled out all the stops. It sports a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor capable of recording 4K videos at 24fps and images with a resolution of up to 5280x3480 pixels.

The lack of a display on the controller means that you can't see what your camera sees while flying, but Parrot includes a free app that works with both iOS and Android devices to allow live streaming of 720p videos from your drone's aerial perspective. This is just perfect for taking selfies.

With a top speed of 55km/h and the ability to carry out acrobatic stunts, the Parrot Anafi is an agile drone capable of capturing some really exciting aerial videos.

The latest version can be controlled using only one hand, and it comes with autonomous flight modes such as orbit mode and follow-me function, which makes taking selfies even easier than before.

Lastly, this new version (Parrot ANAFI Drone) now has foldable rotors making it easier for users to transport their drones more conveniently.

Parrot Anafi comes in at 320 grams, making it one of the average weighted drones out there.

While this might be a problem for some people who try to travel light, others will appreciate the fact that Parrot Anafi is actually more stable and less likely to get blown away by strong winds than other lighter drones like DJI Mavic Air or even Phantom 4 Pro.

Parrot took a slightly different approach in designing the controller for their drone. Instead of the usual joysticks, you get a single joystick on one side and four buttons on the other.

This can be a little confusing at first since it takes a while to get used to having less control over your quadcopter, but once you do, controlling Parrot Anafi becomes much easier and more enjoyable than most other models out there.

  • Compact and foldable design
  • Adjustable camera angle using your smartphone app
  • Long flight time
  • It does not have obstacle sensors like other DJI models do

Our Review of DJI Mavic Mini

DJI Mavic Mini is a small drone with the biggest features. You can fold it and take it with you easily. It has an amazing camera, which is adjustable in two ways: by remote controller or by smartphone app.

drones with Headless mode

Its main feature is Headless mode, so no need to adjust the drone's direction before flying. If you want a drone that can carry a small action camera like GoPro, then this one is the choice for you!

Flight time

In order to make this convenient and compact, the size of the propellers was decreased. In fact, DJI Mavic Mini has a surprisingly long flight time for its size: up to 30 minutes! Thanks to the new brushless motors and LiPo batteries, it works great even in windy conditions.

While DJI Mavic Pro's Range is 7 km, DJI Mavic Mini allows you to control your drone within 4 km, which is still great for its size! It can reach a top speed of 45kph and easily return home if the connection with the controller is lost. Unfortunately, it does not have obstacle sensors like other drones on our list.

Camera resolution

The camera is smaller than that of the DJI Mavic Pro and does not have a mechanical gimbal. It has only one lens instead of two available on other models.

However, you can still take amazing pictures with a 12 MP camera at speeds up to 48 fps! Additionally, you can adjust your camera's angle using an app for your smartphone by downloading DJI Go 4 app free from App Store or Google Play.

Thanks to its compact size, you can reach pretty high speeds without worrying about the drone blowing away.

However, if you do need more speed than that, feel free to switch into Sport mode and get the speed of up to 45 mph! Unfortunately, this is not recommended for beginners.

The whole drone only weighs around 250g! You can easily take it with you wherever you go. It is small enough to fit in your backpack, so why not have it with you always?

One of the biggest advantages of DJI Mavic Mini is that you do not need a remote controller to operate it. You can use your smartphone instead - just download an app called DJI Go 4 from App Store or Google Play and connect both devices using Wi-Fi.

In addition to controlling your drone, you will also get to see what the camera sees and make necessary adjustments.

Battery size

One of the biggest problems with this drone is its battery life. But since it's so small, you can bring an extra one or two batteries with you when flying. It takes about 60 minutes to recharge them both.

Should you choose to fly DJI Mavic Mini outdoors in strong wind conditions, we recommend taking three batteries along just in case!

  • 4K camera can live stream and take high-quality pictures and videos
  • One of the lightest drones on our list, perfect for beginners
  • High flight range of 1000 m (3280 ft)
  • The Hubsan Zino doesn't come with an extra battery.

Our Review of Hubsan Zino

Hubsan Zino is a racing drone with a 4K camera that allows you to live stream, shoot videos or take photos in real-time. The drone is expensive, but it also comes with some great features.

drones with Headless mode

It has GPS tracking and follows modes where the drone will automatically follow its owner wherever they go. Hubsan Zino was designed to fly fast and accurately, but that makes it a little difficult to control.

It's recommended for people who are looking for an FPV racing drone that can also shoot videos or take photos in real-time.

Flight time

The Hubsan Zino comes with an 11.4V 3000mAh battery, and each full charge will last for about 23 minutes.

This is one of the best flight times on our list, so if you're looking to fly your drone for longer periods, this one might be an option to consider.

Flight range

The UX31 model has a maximum control distance of 1km, which is double the usual Range. Most drones have a control distance of 500 m or less, which means they're not very useful if you want to shoot videos at a greater distance.

If you want something that can travel far, then this should be your pick. UX31 function may vary from different countries since all drone laws are different in every country.

The Zino comes with a 4K ultra-wide camera that can shoot at 25 fps.

This is the only drone on our list that has an internal gimbal for stabilizing videos, which makes it perfect for taking high-quality shots or recording video footage in real-time.

It comes with one of the best lenses on the market, and it's well-known for its great image quality.

Hubsan Zino is one of the fastest drones on our list and has a maximum speed of 37 mph / 59.5 km/h, which makes it perfect for racing or filming aerial stunts at high speeds.

The speed matters much more when you have to explore more places or film stunts that require speed.

Hubsan Zino is very lightweight, which makes it one of the best drones for beginners who are just starting out and don't want to spend a lot of money on their first drone.

It has a single propeller in the front and another in the back for balance. The body is also made from carbon fiber material which means you can fly your Hubsan Zino in any weather without worrying about damage.

Hubsan Zino weighs somewhere around 700 grams, and the body measures 304.6 x 252.4 x 90mm, making it one of the lightest drones on our list.

Battery size

You get one 11.4V 3000mAh battery with Hubsan Zino, but you should note that this is not removable. To have fun flying around outside, you'll need to bring along another battery because the current battery lasts about 20 minutes at best.

The charger included should be able to recharge your battery within 100minutes, so if you want more time, it's better to buy two batteries instead of waiting around for over an hour to power up.

If you're looking for something that can travel far, then this should be your pick. Don't forget to check if the country/countries where you fly allow you to use drones or not.

  • Stylish
  • Very Fast
  • Good flight time
  • A bit heavy

Our Review of Ruko F11

Ruko F11 is a great drone, it is very stylish, and the camera quality is excellent. It has a headless mode that makes flying easier for beginners.

drones with Headless mode

It is a hybrid drone, which has specifications for all types of drones, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Ruko F11 is a great drone for beginners because of its long flight time, great camera quality, and headless mode.

It can be a good choice for intermediate flyers that are looking for affordable drones with excellent camera quality. It is an all-rounder drone that can be used for aerial photography, racing, stunts, and other fun activities.

Flight time

The flight time of 25 minutes is more than enough to enjoy some time outdoors with your drone. You can go out and explore all your surrounding areas, or you can even film some stunts while it's in the air.

The battery takes about 1-2 hours for a full recharge, so make sure to bring along an extra one if you want to explore more areas without having to wait around.

Flight range

Another great feature about Ruko F11 is the 1200 meter flight range, which is pretty much incredible for a drone in this price range.

Most drones with such features are twice as expensive, and you can't even fly them outside without risking losing track of your drone. Having such a large flight range allows you to explore more areas and see more things that you might not have seen before.

It also makes the drone more fun to fly because you can explore new places with your friends and family. The 1200 meter flight range is an important feature for beginners who are still unfamiliar with the controller and need something that won't allow them to lose their drone too easily.

Camera quality

Ruko F11 has one of the best cameras for its price range. Its 2MP HD camera with a 120° wide-angle lens is perfect for taking headless pictures and videos while you're flying your drone around.

It can also deliver 1080p video at 30fps, which is better than most drones in this price range. The recordings and photos might not be as great as they would be if used by a professional photographer, but it's pretty incredible that you get such quality in a drone.

The Ruko F11 can fly at a maximum speed of 18.5 MPH, which is perfect for beginners who are not used to flying this fast.

It is also capable of performing stunts such as 360-degree flips and rolls, which makes it more fun for people who wouldn't normally try these kinds of tricks.

Speed plays a very important role in drone racing, which is a sport that is gaining popularity every day.

The Ruko F11 weighs 520 grams, and it has a dimension of 17.5 in x 15.9 in x 3.1 in, which is pretty much perfect for beginners who wouldn't want to deal with the heavy drones right away.

It's small and lightweight, so you won't have any issues with carrying it around or storing it when you don't feel like flying it anymore.

The design and the materials used for building this drone make it ideal for beginners because of its lightweight and durable features.

Battery size

2600mAh is also a big battery for this price range, and it has a longer flight time than most drones with batteries of the same size.

It can fly up to 25 minutes without any extra weight, which is around 7-8 minutes more than average drones offer. Having such a long flight time makes the Ruko F11 a great drone for flying outdoors and exploring new areas while you're having fun.

7. Snaptain S5C

Weight: 1.55 pounds | Camera resolution: 1280 x 720, 720P | Flight time: 8-10 mins | Range: ≤80M | Battery size: 750 mAh | Dimensions: 13.9 x 9.7 x 3.3 inches.

  • Flips in 4 directions
  • Headless mode
  • Foldable blades
  • Small screen
  • Short range

Our Review of Snaptain S5C

Snaptain S5C is another toy drone with a few advanced features. It has a reasonably sized screen, but it's not a touch-screen.

drones with Headless mode

One of the coolest features of this drone is that you can attach your phone to the remote controller and use it as an FPV monitor. It is a good option for people who are trying to learn to fly drones.

The drone has different speed modes that are suitable for beginners, intermediate or advanced users. It also comes with headless mode, which makes it easier to control the drone.

The camera is not great, but you can shoot decent footage provided you have a very steady hand or a tripod.

It's hard to recommend this one over the other drones on our list because there are other options out there that offer similar features at a cheaper price point. However, if you're looking for something that will work well even in windy conditions, then this might be your best bet.

Flight time

Snaptain S5C comes with two batteries, and each one will last for about 8-10 minutes. Snaptain S5C has an average flight time compared to the other drones on our list.

The flight time is sufficient for fun flying, but you might need to bring extra batteries if you're flying outdoors. The Snaptain S5C is not an FPV drone which means the camera only shoots video in real-time, which will also affect your battery life.

Flight range

The Snaptain S5C's maximum flight range is 80 meters. This is not the shortest distance on our list, but it also doesn't lead to any extra features.

The drone has an average long-range remote controller for this price point, which is fine if you're just starting out.

The Snaptain comes with a 0.3 MP camera that can shoot 1280 x 720 videos at 30 frames per second (fps).

You won't be able to produce high-quality footage with it, but it's enough for beginners who are just starting out and want to learn how to fly drones first before investing in more advanced features like headless mode or altitude hold.

Battery size

Along with the drone, you'll get two batteries that each take 30 minutes to recharge. If you just want something easy for recreational flying, then this is an option to consider, even if it doesn't have very many advanced features.

The battery is also removable, which is a rarity with drones in this price range. The battery has a capacity of 750 mAh and is designed to last for about 10 minutes.

The Snaptain S5C is one of the lightest drones on this list. It has a very small, lightweight body, which means you can take it along wherever you go without worrying about the extra weight.

If you're looking for portability, then this should be at the top of your wishlist.

Our Review of Potensic Upgraded A20 Mini

Potensic Upgraded A20 Mini Headless Drone is a well-known drone in this category. It fulfills all the basic requirements for having a headless mode and makes it one of the best drones with headless mode. It is more of a toy -drone than others in its category. It's not so great at flying, but you can play some games with it.

drones with Headless mode
Flight time

Its flight time is up to 18 minutes which is a great flight time for a drone in this price range. Despite the fact that it doesn't have a camera, it has a very stable flight which makes it suitable for taking selfies without having to worry about the drone crashing into something or someone.

The transmitter range of this drone is 100 meters which should be more than enough even though you should always take into account other interferences as well.

Other drones in this price range have a maximum range of 300 meters at least, so if you plan on flying long-distance races, we suggest going with another model. The other downside here is that you can't fly over water since there's no 'out of range alarm' and the remote doesn't have a display for battery level.

The drone weighs only 0.19 kilograms which means that you don't need to register it with the FAA and that it won't be a problem if there's a tiny bit of wind during your flight session.

The downside is that it doesn't fly as stable as heavier drones do, but it makes up for its lack of weight by being more agile, making tight turns, and going through obstacle courses without breaking an arm or a leg since this drone was built especially for such acrobatics.

The controller looks like any other regular remote control you use to operate your RC car. It's pretty small, so it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, but it also has two joysticks that can be used for taking photos or videos if you feel like it.

Just keep in mind that there isn't a display on the controller itself, so you won't see what the camera sees while flying this drone.

Battery size

It uses an 800 mAh battery that should give you about 15-18 minutes of flight time depending on how aggressively you're flying it and whether or not you're taking videos/photos.

This is the very average battery life for drones of this price range, so it's not really a surprise.

Our Review of Altair Aerial AA108

Altair Aerial AA108 is another best headless mode drone. Like the UDI, it lacks advanced flight capabilities but is one of the best beginner drones due to its durability and ease of use.

drones with Headless mode
Flight time

The Altair Aerial AA108 can fly for up to 10 minutes per battery which is okay considering that it's an entry-level model and doesn't weigh that much.

It's best to buy additional batteries so your fun doesn't have to stop when the battery is low.

Flight range

The drone's Range is 100 meters which is enough for beginners, but if you plan on flying long-distance races, it might not be powerful enough.

Other drones in this price range have a maximum range of 300 meters at least.

The camera is a 720p HD camera that doesn't take high-quality videos and photos, but it's good enough for beginners to practice their aerial photography skills since the drone itself has a pretty stable flight.

It also has a 'low battery alarm,' which means that it beeps when the battery is low, so you can bring the drone back to the home point before it dies.

Altair Aerial AA108 flies with a weight of 85 grams which means that you won't need to register it with the FAA.

However, this also means that it's not as stable as other drones, which weigh more than 100 grams, so if you're looking for something very stable, we suggest you go for the DJI Phantom 3 Standard.

The controller looks like a toy and has two joysticks: the right joystick moves the drone up and down while the left one moves it forward and backward and also turns it.

The left joystick is known as 'the yaw' and is used to control the direction of your flight by moving your thumb clockwise or anti-clockwise.

You can also use these two joysticks to take photos or videos, but we suggest you don't do that until you get some good practice because controlling both sticks at once can be difficult for beginners.

Altair Aerial AA108 comes with an additional set of propellers in case one breaks during the flight, which is a valuable feature, in my opinion.

Our Review of Altair 818 Hornet Drone

Altair 818 Hornet Drone is one of the best headless drones in the market, as it has a durable and flexible design as well as excellent flight performance with its 6-axis gyro system.

drones with Headless mode

With the headless mode, users don't bother about which direction the drone is facing during flight since this feature makes it fly according to your control no matter what direction it's facing.

The Altair U818A Hornet is a wonderful drone for beginners looking to perfect their piloting skills. It's not the most feature-rich quadcopter, but at its current price point of around $120, it offers an excellent flying experience and a solid build quality. Let's look at the features of this drone in detail.

Flight time

Altair 818 Hornet Drone comes with an inbuilt battery that can last up to 12 minutes after a single charge. Since the rechargeable batteries aren't removable, you need to get them charged up before your next flight session.

The charging time is approximately 90 minutes, and you need a USB cable and adapter (5V/1A) for this purpose. You can also purchase additional batteries to extend your flying fun with this drone since one battery takes nearly 1 hour to get fully recharged.

Flight range

This drone has a control range of up to 300 meters which is more than enough for beginners and kids.

The Altair 818 Hornet Drone allows you to enjoy learning tricks and stunts like flips and rolls with its headless mode, thanks to the powerful coreless motors.

The camera of this drone is not as powerful as those found on higher-end drones and can only capture VGA (640×480 pixels) quality videos and images.

But still, you can enjoy taking photos and videos from the sky with this drone as it comes with a 2MP camera. The Altair 818 Hornet Drone is an excellent quadcopter for beginners that want to fly indoors or outdoors without worrying too much about crashing into walls or objects.

It can go as fast as 30 kmph, which might be a downside for beginners since that speed may result in crashing the drone.

Altair 818 Hornet Drone is lightweight, weighing only 230 grams -so you can easily carry it to your desired location. The weight of any drone plays a very important role in its performance, and the lighter the drone, the better it will fly.

Altair 818 Hornet Drone comes with a 2.4GHz transmitter that can control this small model from up to 300 meters away. The controller of this drone is pretty basic but being new to drones, you'll definitely love using it as you learn how to fly this fun little machine.

Richard J. Gross

Hi, my name is Richard J. Gross and I’m a full-time Airbus pilot and commercial drone business owner. I got into drones in 2015 when I started doing aerial photography for real estate companies. I had no idea what I was getting into at the time, but it turns out that police were called on me shortly after I started flying. They didn’t like me flying my drone near people, so they asked me to come train their officers on the rules and regulations for drones. After that, I decided to start my own drone business and teach others about the safe and responsible use of drones.
